The Cross Channel ferry operator LD Lines has been able to expand its portfolio of routes with the takeover of the popular Dover to Boulogne route when the rival operator Speedferries went into administration. Recently, Isle of Man Steam Packet Ferries have decided to reduce their fuel surcharge from £5 per head to £3.50 per head. This will bring down the freight charges substantially as well. We hope this is some good news in the wake of fuel prices shooting up again. At least someone is behaving responsibly!
