Cowes Week

For everyone who likes sunshine, sailing and a bit of glamour, Cowes Week is a must. The 2nd - 9th of August sees the Isle of Wight host the annual Cowes Week, a week of racing, relaxing and hopefully a bit of sunshine! The world-famous yachting regatta has been an annual event since 1826, and is very popular with people the world over. With over 1000 boats racing and plenty of entertainment laid on throughout the week, Cowes Week has something for everyone.
The Royal, rich and famous from across the globe flock to Cowes each year for this renowned event; accommodation and transport book up very early so get in quick if you want a piece of the action!
Watch the action on the water, or try out sailing yourself with a 1hr introductory session. For the less sporty, Cowes offers plenty of places to relax, soak up the sun and celeb-spot.
Getting there: Fares start at under £20pp for a return foot passenger fare with Wightlink and Redfunnel. Cowes is overcrowded to the extreme over the week, so leave the car at home!
