P&O Ferries have ordered two new ships from Aker shipyards in Finland to service the Dover - Calais route. These two ships will replace the Pride of Dover and the Pride of Calais, and will enter service in December 2010 and September 2011.
These ships will be the biggest ferries ever to operate the short sea route, and will double the capacity of freight currently carried on this route by P&O, as well as providing an additional car deck for tourist passengers.
Whilst we will have to wait a bit to see these new ships in action, here at MyFerryTravel we are eager to see if the wait will be worth it!
Do you think P&O need new ferries for the Dover - Calais route? As always, we want to hear what you think!
