Brittany Ferries unveils new ship
Yesterday Brittany Ferries launched their new cruise ferry, the Armorique, which will enter into service in March 2009 on their Plymouth - Roscoff route.
The Armorique, named after a national park in Brittany and built in the Aker shipyard in Helsinki, has the capacity to carry 1,500 passengers and over 500 cars, and also sets new standards in terms of fuel efficiency and creduced carbon emissions.
The £90 million ship is similar to the Cotentin currently in service on their Plymouth - Santander and Poole - Cherbourg routes and will allow passengers to travel in luxurious and spacious surroundings for the ultimate in comfort.
