Can’t decide between a city break or a beach holiday this summer? Why not have both?! Until the 21st August you can mix classic French culture and sightseeing with a spot of sunbathing and fun on the beach with the Paris Plages beach project. Three sites across Paris (from the Louvre to Pont de Sully, Pont de la Gare and Bassin de la Villette) play host to man-made beaches each summer; hire a pedal boat, take part in the various watersports on offer, swim in the temporary swimming pools or simply relax on the sand, all side-by-side with Paris’ usual attractions - riverside cafes, amazing architecture and luxurious boutiques. What more could you ask for?
