Notting Hill Carnival - August 24th - 25th 2008
Each year, London plays host to the Notting Hill Carnival, a popular street carnival which started in 1965.The carnival is an opportunity to show case Caribbean culture, with music, dancing, steel band competitions and huge street parades.
The carnival takes place over the August bank holiday weekend, with the children’s parade on Sunday 24th August and the main street parade taking place on Monday 25th August.
