Caravan Holidays on the Up
With all the depressing news headlines about possible recession and economic crisis, many of us are starting to think about alternatives to our usual bank balance-stretching holiday abroad. Add to that the guilt about the CO2 emissions that go with flying and you aren’t left with many holiday options! However, despite eco-consciousness and the state of the economy, one sector of the travel industry is seemingly booming. The National Caravan Council has reported an increase in caravan bookings of 20% on last year for the summer peak period and The Department for Transport has reported that 25% more people have this year opted to stay in Britain for their holidays.
